Amy Beckerman is a standup comic based in New York City. Beckerman is well known for being the co-producer and host of Dykes on Mics, a comedy show that ran for three years at various venues in NYC such as Comix and the legendary Stonewall Inn and performed all over the Northeast, including The Art House Theatre during Provincetown’s Women’s Week. Dykes on Mics was billed as a “best bet for comedy” several times by Time Out New York.
In March 2010, Beckerman produced Generosititties, the topless breast cancer comedy event that raises money for Breast Cancer. The premier show was in March 2010 at Comix in New York City. Prior to the event, Howard Stern invited Beckerman on his Sirius XM show for an interview and to promote the big event. You may have seen her on HERE TV’s Hot Gay Comics, giving hilarious music video commentary on MTV’s F’N MTV, playing a mental patient stuffing her face with chips on The Sopranos, and performing at comedy clubs all over New York City and beyond.
Beckerman is one of the few that genuinely loves to make people laugh. She says things other people think, but wouldn’t have the balls to say. She is cynical with a twist of sarcasm she instills with every bite of life.
